Ticketmaster - bit rude and stupid basically!

'Sighs' what a frustrating experience!!! my problem was not a big one but the customer service was so appalling I have to do something to vent my anger!!!

Ticketmaster had overcharged me when booking some tickets, it wasn't alot and it seemed an obvious error so I decided to email them quickly to let them know!!! ha ha :rotfl:

It was not that simple, they don't have an email address - instead you have to go on to their online customer services and after going through their FAQ's and saying that they don't answer your query only then are you able to send them a message! Should have realised then and given up! I explained my problem and attached the email that showed the charge that I was advised and awaited my reply and refund!!! again - who was I kidding!!??

I think it was obvious that there had been an error and just needed correcting as I was told my total on the website when I gave my credit card and it said the same amount on my email confirmation that I received but then a higher amount was taken out of my account. However to the staff that are employed at ticketmaster it is not obvious! They kept insisting that the amount I was charged was correct and I should be charged 2 fees as I had booked 2 tickets. That may well be the case but if it said the lower price on the website and on your email, then that is what you should be charged. Errors happen - refund the difference! simple? they kept explaining over and over that I had been charged the correct amount and kept referring me to my online account which showed the amount I had been charged (the higher amount!). This wasn't my point though and they really didn't seem to get it!! They can't advise you the price after they have taken your money - they have to honour the first amount - particularly when it was in black and white in the email!!

It gets worse though - after a few messages were exchanged - the last of which was a bit angry on my part as they weren't understanding the obvious point, but not out of order in any way, I got a reply advising me that messages of that nature do not help and could be offensive!!!!

Offensive ??? I'd written it in capitals and used the word farce??? pointed out how obvious it was and ordered them to refund the difference now!!!

I was livid!!! still am - hence this post! If I had sworn at her personally and been threatening I might have understood! asking for your managers email does not deserve that response! I am now complaining about her personally - so I hope that was what she wanted!!! she also seemed unable to understand my obvious point and refunded the difference as a gesture of good will!!!??

gesture of good will??? you should be refunding it because you are wrong!!??

anyone else had such a frustrating and ridicuous experience>??

    Nothing like that, really.

I did have a problem where ticketmaster offered 2 types of tickets:

    Standing - floor.

    or stalls.

As I have various health problems I figured I'd order stalls because every time I've ordered stall seating I've had a seat.

Sure enough, when I got the tickets to the concert, I had seat numbers allocated to me. Now, I've been to the venue many many times and I knew that the seat numbers allocated to me didn't exist. I contacted ticketmaster who explained that no, the seat numbers don't exist, because they hadn't bought any seated tickets for the show, and the stall seats were also on the floor, just further back.

Now, I know the venue HAS seats (in the stalls, behind the floor) and I have used the seats to see the same band in the past.

Ticketmaster refused to give me a refund and I knew there was nothing I could do... until I had an idea.

I contacted the venue themselves and explained what happened and they allowed me to use the ticket to get into one of the disabled boxes because the normal seats had all sold out. I felt a bit awkward because I am disabled, but have never considered myself disabled enough to use any disabled facilities. But hell, I got the best view i've ever had and the disabled boxes had their own bar behind them with no queue. It certainly was a good night in the end.

I guess I should thank ticketmaster, really :rotfl:

    Ticketmasters cs are brilliant LOL
I bought and paid for 2 tickets for my daughter to go to a gig.
    I recieved 4 tickets!
So I went though their 'customer services' to try and return the extra 2 and got a very curt email telling me they couldn't change anything and I had to accept what I had recieved!!!!!!!
So I did as I was told and my daughter took 2 extra mates to the gig and had a great time
And I did check my card and I was only charged for 2!
