Compensation due to failure to send a new debit card

Options
I rang my bank Cahoot on 10th September to report activity on my account which I didn't recognise. They stopped my bank card and told me they would refund the payment. Now 3 weeks later the payment has not been refunded and I still have no debit card or access to my money!

I have been ringing every day for the past 2 weeks to be told a different story. Now it seems that the company who send out the cards have not done so. A new one has been ordered today so I have another week to wait.

i have told them that I want compensation. They keep asking me
how mcuh I want but I don't really want to get into that until I have my card and it works. Does anyone know if there is a set amount I can ask for or what a reasonable amount would be?

All help would be appreciated

You are probably looking at about £50 plus the cost of telephone calls, petrol if you had to go in branch etc. Most organisations will only look to compensate for actual loss, but it is standard practice to offer a goodwill payment of some description.

Financial compensation normally looks at redress. You havent lost anything financially. Your health hasnt suffered and there is no damage to you in any way. So, its just inconvenience. So, like zppp, £50 seems fair enough.
