Child Car Seat Belt

Is there any way to replace the belt on a child seat?
The part that is worn is the bit you pull on to tighten the belt. I have taken it all out of the seat before to clean but Britax say they cannot supply via mail order due to health and safety.:mad:
They will replace the belts but i need to return the seat to them, what would i do in the mean time?? This is the only seat i have found to fit with only the lap belt in the middle rear of my Citroen Xantia.
