Virgin Active Towel Hire Headaches

Hi MSE'ers,

Need your viewpoint/advice on something.

I have a VirginActive membership from 2007 (12 month min contract over). In this was a locker and towel hire. The contract T&C mentions nothing specifc regarding towel hire.

A new general manager has recently started and suddenly a one towel policy (that apparently is in our contracts) is now in force, but since I have been a member of this club (and paid for towel hire) they have always given two towels.

Can anyone give me some advice on the contractual precidence here - I feel that have been giving me two towels for the past 2 years and I have become used to expecting two towels. One of the key reasons for me being a member of the club is because I can hire towels as it's opposite the train station so I can go in on my way home.

I know this sounds really pathetic, but I swim in my gym and my hair is extremely long - it's impossible and really quite horrible only to use one towel - however I do it with one towel I have hair full of water running down my back. I do wear a hat, but it never stops my hair getting wet!

Even though you hire a locker, do you take your swimsuit home to dry?

Get a microfibre hair turban, from any pound shop. Take it home, with your wet swimsuit.

I hang up the swim suit in the locker, thanks for the tip, it may yet revert to this. But I feel like I need to drive home the point with them!
