Don't give them your account details until you've got the pin, the card ... and the card's been activated at the Post Office ... otherwise, as Andy says, you run the risk of being unable to access your account.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0

It took 5 weeks from date of claim to first full 2 wk payment, although I did get a payment via bacs transfer for the arrears after 4 weeks.
Once they have all your bank details it should be processed the same day and payment via bacs transfer should begin as soon as your claim is processed. Although I do agree with other posters, DO NOT give them the bank details untill you have all the info, card, pin number and you've activated the account at the post office.Beth
