If only the very last rad was not reaching temperature, but the others were, this is a primarily a pumping and circulation problem. If the circulation was OK and the boiler was under powered, you would find that all of the radiators would run a little cold.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Yes you can, but there's not a huge choice. Baxi do some, see here:

Has anybody had one of these installed and are they a good alternative? Does anybody know about installation costs.0 -

I thought it was a bit suspicious at the time too that my radiator was stone cold but everybody elses was ok, but as I was a teenager at the time I didn't have enough clout in my house to be allowed to question the heating guy about it. Instead I was told to run up and down the stairs turning the hot taps on and off when the tank hissed to keep warm instead and to stop moaning. Those were the days........0 -
Had this latest boiler fitted in april this year, now running for 6 months. Have had to reset the boiler once(simple switch on extetrior of firefront). Baxi engineer called and fitted new electronic starter,( there is no pilot light on this new boiler.)
Had new condensate pump fitted yesterday after boiler failed to work.
Obviously I am not happy with these problems after such a short time. However I must say it provides a fantastic amount of heat and hot water.
Boiler reasonably quiet in operation,no noiser than the old one. Electric firefront great, hums a bit, but when my grandson comes around I would not notice it.The amount of heat loss up the chimney is minimal and I expect to see a saving in gas this coming winter0 -
The servicing may be dearer as it involves more work getting to it, but speak to the owners about the service history on it and then arrange if you're concerned for a gas man to check it out. Knowing it's on it's last legs means you can get prices for a new one ...
They still do them but they're dear I think.0
