  • And sheep are preferred - ferrets bite!

Please remember that not all forum posters wear cloth caps and clogs. Some of us come from the South.

Now can somebody please explain to us Essex folk what is a sheep? And what is a ferret?

  • I have not heard of the publications 'Being Miserly' , 'Sheep are Preferred' nor 'Ferrets Bite' . There is room for diversity in this society.

:rotfl:That made me laugh - they should all be book/magazine titles, for sure :T

sheep are lovable creatures - for some, occasionally a little too lovable - that do a good job of soaking up all the rain from your wellies. Ferrets are not to be underestimated, or mistaken for sheep, otherwise severe pain could ensue.

    isn't a sheep's inability to cook a decisive factor in a Welshman's decision to get married? ;)

Just in case anyone did not get my gag. If someone says that they do not subscribe to something then it is reasonable assumption that it is a publication available to those who choose to subscribe. There may be lawyers in the building about to arrest me for harassment so I must tpe quk.

Or, of course, an idea or belief that they subscribe to.

I didn't get the next bit though, but assumed you were just a Manc, Geordie or Southern or summat...

If you want to handle sheep then you could try something like this.

I have discovered how easily it is to take a statement out of context and to twist it into something else unmeant and perhaps contradictory. The temptation is always there with journalists, politicians and me.
