Pricing car boot items (new things)

Hi,
I am hopefully doing my first car boot sale this weekend and I was just thinking about pricing things up.
Most of the things I have are BNIB cosmetics, shower gels, moisturisers etc - all bought whilst on offer in the last year from Tesco, Boots etc for a fraction of the price.
Does anybody know how much things like this sell for?
ie
Shower gel - RRP £2.50
Olay moisturiser - RRP £12
I have so much of these things that I was just thinking of sorting them into large baskets and putting a sign saying a/ what they are b/ the RRP and c/ my price.
I was thinking of maybe 50% of the RRP, does anybody think they will sell at that? They are all manufacturers (not supermarket) brands.
I would really appreciate any help.

People at CB love a bargain. If you find you items are not selling just reduce the price a little.
There was a stall selling boots total delay items at a local CB the other week & they were charging £2 per item & it was flying off the table.

If you're going to start at 50% of RRP, I wouldn't put price labels on them: that way, when customers ask the price, if they make a face you can haggle, whereas if they see a price marked which they don't like, they might just walk away. You'll probably sell only a few at half RRP before you have to start redcuing them. Try to have a good variety of other goods on your stall as well, to attract customers.0

Thanks for your advice, both of you.
I've had a look through my things and am thinking of sorting everything out into price brackets and putting them in big wicker baskets with little stickers on the bottom (the stickers wont damage the product, but just in case things get mixed up into different baskets).
So, for pricing, I was thinking as the following as an example:-
Item with RRP of £2 .... Buy 1 for £1, 3 for £3!
People can mix and match the 3 items from anything within the same basket.
Also I am thinking of giving away a free £5 olay voucher for every £5 spent (I know this might not tickle everybodys boat, but I am selling cosmetics and it might just tempt some people ... plus I have quite a few of these vouchers).
Do you think that might work?0 -

Buy one for £1 and three for £3 isnt great, try 3 for £2 or £2.50"The darkness has no answers"0 -

:rotfl: Yes I see that!!!! I have a marketing degree too!
OOps, Typo I meant 1 for £1; 3 for £2
Anybody think that might work?
EDIT : BTW, thanks for the courtesey in your reply, sweet. I would have been tempted to call me a muppet!0 -
Make sure you put a sign somewhere to state that its NEW. I find that if we mark anything as new you get more for it.
Be prepared for everyone to ask if you have 'such and such' as they will think you are a shop. Last time we did a car boot this lady asked us if we had any new Next boys tops in age 2-3 - my answer was if we had my little boy would be wearing them!!!:rotfl:0
