Receiving "sold" Amazon emails late

Hi

I hope this makes sense!

When I receive an email from Amazon with an order I go into my seller account and process the order. The quicker it's posted the better IMO.

However a few times recently I've received the email and gone into my account as normal but have noticed that the buyer placed the order 2 or 3 days previous to me receiving the email.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or is there a perfectly reasonable explanation for the delay in sending? I always contact the buyer to let them know this has happened and can only offer my apologies.

I've had this happen a couple of times; mostly it seems to be caused by problems with a mailserver delaying the mail somewhere between Amazon and me.

I tend to ignore the emails completely these days, and get the information straight from the site - it updates much faster.

It does happen. In your contract with Amazon, you are supposed to log into your seller account at least once a day to check for orders anyway.

The explanation could be that the item had been 'pending' - do you have your account set to show pendings? If not, go into your seller account and 'view your orders' click on 'advanced search' and tick the pending orders box and then set it to search 14 days as pendings can last a while now and if you have lots of orders they move down the line [pendings show up in grey and have no dispatch address.]

I pretty much do check everyday. I sold something yesterday (29th) and there was nothing for this "late" order.

Thanks teapot ~ the pending orders box is checked already.

I'll just have to be more vigilant, thanks for the replies peeps :A
