Compact flash memory card

Hi guys I was downloading a large number of jpeg files from my digital camera when my computer crashed, it said all unsaved items would be lost.
When I now put my memory card into my card reader it comes up with the error message "card error".

Have I lost all of my images or is there a way of retrieving my images?.

.I would be most grateful for any assistance.

Thanks in advance.

Hi thanks for the link but the program has not sorted out my problem. When I insert my card reader / camera the software does not recognise the drive. All it says is removable drive busy.

It says busy even when I remove the card reader / camera.

Is there anymore software out there.

    Thanks

Can you still see view the pictures in the camera? If so, the card isn't the problem. Do your other USB devices work?

Are you using XP? Can you do a system restore to a point before it crashed?

 I cannot view the images on the camera monitor. The error message says card error. I have another memory card which works in the camera and also in the card reader .

I thought perhaps you had a USB problem, like I had recently, unfortunately (for retrieving your pictures) you seem to have ruled that out.

If you can't even see the card on your computer, I think it is going to be very difficult to retrieve anything from it. I hope someone can prove me wrong.
