Anyone shopping with QVC should be aware that the promise of a 30 day money back guarantee is not as clear-cut as one would like. Although it is repeatedly pointed out on air that customers can and should take advantage of the 30 days to try and return any product, it is not always tolerated. Please be aware of your rights!

Not ever had a problem with returning stuff to them - but I guess it depends on the volume returned. At one time I returned every single thing I ordered (beauty products) because they didn't suit me or I felt that they just didn't work.
So I cannot say if this article is true, but perhaps QVC have a fair usage policy a little like the phone companies seem to! Not saying it is justified at all, simply that it won't affect most customers.0 -
I actually think that is fair enough. People did abuse the policy, and as with any discretionary measure, there has to be a limit to how much goodwill is given.Gone ... or have I?0

OP have you actually had a problem with QVC?0

Tricky one. It seems to me there has to be some limit to the amount of returns that they can reasonably accept - and if they feel a customer is abusing their goodwill in this respect they're entitled to decline their further custom. The question is how much is too much? In the end, it has to be the trader who decides when enough is enough. A 'Fair Use' clause in the terms and conditions wouldn't go amiss though...
Another company with an abusable guarantee is LandsEnd, who say "Simply, if any purchase you make fails to meet your expectations, you can return it at any time for an exchange, replacement or full refund" (my emphasis). Now if you bought all your clothes from them and continually returned them for replacement when they wore out, they would presumably eventually give you a final refund and sell you no more.0 -
OP have you actually had a problem with QVC?
hi there gordikin,
nope, not so far, but my shopping with them has dropped dramatically....and i have been terrible about keeping stuff i should send back.
i posted the link to simply indicate that others have had a problem, not to say that there will be a problem nor to suggest that it is happening to everyone. in many respects i have been happy with qvc, but i do get a little concerned when they oversell - sometimes saying that the prices they have are exclusive or much lower than elsewhere and indeed with the 30 day return offer.
i just hope that it will help to make people aware that there is a limit to the amount of returns that can be made but this is never suggested or made clear.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. So you've not had a problem?0

So the OP is moaning about a policy that is above and beyond what QVC legally have to do which has some conditions on it due to abuse by some people. Yet the OP has not had any problems like this.
Do I have the gist of the post?0
