Advice required on painting a cooker

I have a 5 year old gas cooker and a there are a few patches on the oven door which the paint has blistered and some rust has started to form. I have looked around for a suitable product but frankly I am confused about what is suitable.
I need a paint that is metallic silver, it is hard to describe it is not a uniform silver it has flecks in it, I accept I am unlikely to get a perfect match but I don't want the decay to spread on a perfectly good cooker.
Has anyone had any experience in painting a cooker, can they recommend a specific product?

I would imagine that a cooker would be painted with specialist paint to resist the heat.. sorry but I have no idea if you can buy such a thing.. ordinary paint will simply bubble and melt I would imagine..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Search for "stove paint in silver" - Calfire make it I believe in a spray option. You would certainly need specialist paint rather than standard household. This can be used on wood burning stoves and such so temperatures resistance would be fine
MSE option may be exhaust/engine paint or something similar from Halfords?? providing it can resist 250C or so you should be fine0
