    Unless you find something you love in Next, I'd probably go with the navy, 'cos it's not really navy, is it? I think of navy as darker than that, anyway.

    Also the wedding I was at last weekend, the groom's mother was in a black and white outfit, and it wasn't because she wasn't happy! So I don't think those 'rules' are that much kept to these days: I wouldn't wear all black, or all white, but a mix seems fine to me.

  • Hi thanks for your input. I wore the black and white dress in the end. It was a very laid back wedding, and in fact there was a girl there wearing a black dress. Decided against the navy as its a fairly low cut.

    I'm very glad I didnt splash out on a new dress. Trying hard to save, not spend.
