                    Hi,
We may have an overseas visitor coming to stay for a couple of weeks in Nov/Dec '10 and would welcome a list of 'must sees' in Britain.
We live in the North West of Uk and have The Lakes/Manchester for a theatre trip and shopping/Liverpool for the Beatles/Alton Towers (if in date) or Blackpool Pleasure Beach (not 1st choice) on the list.
We are also thinking of typical british outings such as Bingo/pictures/our local (:p).
Any other suggestions?
We have transport and time, where would you highly rate?
The visitor is from Turkey and I think 1st time out of his country.
Many thanks.

Dont be a fufu fifi nothing was said either about Scotland nor was anywhere south of Stoke either. I had a hunch that Dave and his wife was from Liverpool(as their name says) and gave information regarding their location and things close to them as they asked for info relating to things close to home.
For the balance dave & wife scotland is nice this time of year take a hat and coat as it can be bitter. hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

If you're in Liverpool then you could easily pop to Chester and do the city walls, amphitheatre etc.
How about finding a quaint village with a thatch or two. When my cousin came to visit from Canada her list of must-sees included a red phone box, black cab and thatch cottage!0
