Hungry baby formula?

-
i think your baby is perfectly normal and as the weeks go by there feeds will get bigger and the length between feeds longer. all babies are different, i was always told hungry baby food was thicker and not recommended til 6mths as the digestive system couldnt cope with it, but then we all seem to get different advice depending on what the government say are health visitors are allowed to tell us! all my babies feed differently and all where bottle feed, also weaning age changed with each. my 4th baby was the most difficult, from a week old he cried continuously with very little sleep, he was also very hungry but often sick after aswell, this went on till he was 6mths old, the hv and gp wasnt much help all they could see was he was gaining weight very well and that was a sign there was nothing wrong! well after various changes of formula which only upset his little belly, colic medicine etc which didnt work and they even put him on reflux medication which did nothing. all this time i kept on saying could he have an allergy to his milk, i was always told no because he was gaining weight, he would be skinny/underweight if he was allergic as his body would reject it. well at 6mths i thought b******s to them im a mum of 4 and i no there`s something not right, so i put him on soya formula and low and behold, the crying stopped and the feeds reduced he was a new liitle man. he was a comfort feeder thats why he was gaining weight so well, the cows formula gave him stomache cramps, made him sick and gave him an explossive bum, the only time it eased was when he feed. why the gp or hv couldnt pick this up i dont no, they prefered to give him medication (that wasnt tested on babies) than try him on dairy free. he was eventually prescribed hypo milk (due to breast cancer in the family and not want the soya milk) by 11mths i had slowy introduced dairy in the form of solids etc and he now eats them fine will no probs.
your baby will soon get into a routine, enjoy this time you have together even though its tiring, there`ll soon be on solids, crawling, walking then at school! good luck xxx
