B+Q complaint

hi i'm a newbie here. Firstly lookin for a bit of advice. My mother has bought a exdisplay kitchen off B+Q. I started to fit the kitchen this week and yes of course it's not all there!!!! the main problem is that the electrical waste disposil has only gotten the shell of the unit. My mother has went to B+Q and tried to get the rest of it as it should of been in the unit. At the store they told her that when they fit the kitchens in store they take the internals out of the waste disposil units. So to cut the story short they said that she would have to purchase one at a cost of £180, don't think so!!!! Surley the rest of the unit is still in the store somewhere? Does my mother have any chance of getting the rest of the unit and or is there any leagle action we can take to ensure so? I have not complained to them myself yet. I know all about there complaints proceedures and what a load of horse manure it is. To be honest it's just a run arround till you get so urinated off that you either have a break down or just give up. But i need ammo as I'm not giving up or going to have a break down. :exclamati And on another note if anyone is reading this beware of B+Q after sales as there is none, once they get your money **** you!

Thanks in advance to any one that can help,

I think she has a good case for pursuing this further. If it wasn't made explicitly clear that the kitchen she bought didn't include something it ordinarily would do, then she can legitimately expect it to be supplied at no extra cost. It's about reasonable expectations; had can she possibly know that the internal units are removed from display kitchens? She couldn't be expected to know this so realistically, unless they explicitly state otherwise, her kitchen should include this at no extra cost.

A letter explaining the situation, and what she wants (the gubbins supplied for free) to head office/customer services should be your first step. Stick to your guns.
