I think it's very honourable of them to keep to this and not send out cards apologising that they are really sorry but due to unexpected high demand the stock has all gone.

For them to order another batch to be made to honour these freebies is quite unusual surely.

And so yes, I also got a card through the post and hadn't chased it up. I kinda felt sorry for them, an exclusive offer that has been leaked to many and exceeded their expected request amount.

But I very much look forward to recieving mine!

i ordered this for my mum...I got two letters in the post, addressed to her unenveloped. Good job I found them, otherwise the secret would have been spoiled lol.

Don't know why I got 2 though. I can't look out for the post everyday

Anyway, it's nice they sent the letters but it's obviously due to the complaints they've been getting lol.

i got 2 cards today from them too.
Might be better spending time getting things right than duplicating letters...although I may end up with 2 sets:T

I didn't even get a card so I hope I'll still get my glasses - I ordered them at the beginning of October but haven't emailed Baileys to complain.

The cost of getting another production run done of the glasses, of sending them all out, of replying to all the texts AND of replying to all the emails complaining and producing and sending out all the postcards and letters of reassurance to the impatient...

I think the marketing department had a great idea and its a runaway success that they will be unable to repeat.

Yes but, Essenchill - just think of all those people pulling a Baileys latte glass out of the cupboard and having a drink, looking at the name "Baileys". That is money much better spent than on a tv advert to perhaps people who have no interest in the product !!

Yes, iffy, with a view to a marketing campaign cheaper than TV advertising, which has turned out possibly more expensive than a TV campaign, and Baileys branded glasses going to people who requested them - not really having no interest in the product.

If people have requested them who don't like Baileys, it's hardly going to 'work' in inducing them by looking at the name Baileys on the glasses they asked for is it??!
