Ebay - Reserve Not Met

OK so I don't use ebay really. I used it maybe 4 years ago. But I have bid on an item and the reserve hasn't been met. I read the help thing and theres no way to tell what the reserve is.

If no-one else bids, can the seller still sell to me at that price or am I just waiting time in bidding that amount?

The minimum reserve price is £50. There is no way of finding out what the seller has set it at unless they tell you. If the item doesn't sell at the reserve the seller could come back to you with a second chance offer and offer you it at another price.

    Perfect, TYVM.
  • yes just send the seller a private message and ask them what they have got there reserve price set at ,they would have no problem telling you because at the end of the day the seller wants to sell

If the reserve is set at £50, starting price at say 99p and someone bids £55, the bidding will jump up to the reserve amount, even without other bidders. Most ebayers don't bother setting a reserve due to the cost and they annoy bidders

If the OP bids the amount that they are willing to pay and it does not reach the reserve then best thing is to move on (unless very rare)

Well I bid the minimum, which was £150 and it just says Reserve Not Met. Just wait to see what happens. 2 days left yet anyway :)
  • Bid a bit more and see if you meet the reserve?
