Hi all,
I have just realised that I had £2,500 added to my secured loan with GE Money to pay for Insurance that I had no idea I even had. Was so angry when I looked back the paperwork. The broker came to our home and in the time he was there PPI was never mentioned!!!!
I contacted GE Money who basically said they loaned the money to pay for it and its not their problem?? I contact the people who provide the 'insurance' and they had no details of the broker either??
The broker was Promise Solutions who I cannot find contact details for anywhere??
Feel like I've hit a brick wall??:( Any help much appreciated.
Would I be better going thru one of these companies that do it for you and take a cut??
Thanks is advance everyone x

Hi and welcome
I have found some details here for you, hopefully these are the correct ones......
Name & Registered Office:
PROMISE SOLUTIONS LIMITED
PROMISE HOUSE GOODYEAR
STAFFORD ROAD
WOLVERHAMPTON
WEST MIDLANDS

Company No. 04822774

Status: Active
Its correct you pursue the ones who set and arranged your policy.
Do not use a claims company, with help from this site all free, you get to keep all your refund if successful.
And lots have had hassle using claims companies.
Its only the matter of completing a reclaiming questionnaire that you will find here;
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#reclaim
Send to the above address, and keep a copy for yourself as well......in case you need to refer to it at some point.
They have 8 weeks to give a decision, but they may ask for more time, which is fine, just as long as they are keeping you informed.
Good luck with this.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Right well a wee update regarding my crusade to get my money back....
I completed the FOS questionnaire and sent it away to be told Promise Solutions do not come under their jurisdication. They advised I should claim through the provider of Insurance who seem to be a company called Genworth??? ring any bells anyone??
Anyway I've now completed the questionnaire again only this time claiming against Genworth. I never received one piece of paperwork from this insurance company and thats the angle I'm using - If I had the paperwork from the beginning I would have cancelled as it wasn't required, aswell as being a debt consolidation loan why would I borrow an additional £2,500 to pay for insurance that wasn't required and pay further interest on that.
If I could just have confirmation that i'm heading down the right path here that would be great.
Thanks
