mcafee virus scanner

hi
could anyone help me...i'm looking for the best option for updating my mcafee-ive got 2006, but its due to run out..if i update on the official site, its a download-but, does that mean i have to pay for each pc/laptop i download to-i have 2 pcs and a laptop that the 2006 mcafee disk is currently on..
or, am i better off buying an actual disk-again, should i go for an update or a copy of mcafee 2007 when it comes out this week..?

thanks

  • AVG from Grisoft is exellent and recommended by many techies. Even the free version is very good, and if hubby wants to pay for it, he can do that too!!

you should buy a license per pc, so if you are running the same copy of 2006 on each computer you are breaking your license agreement.
to be completely legal you need to get the 3 user edition which rolls in at £90.
So a fair bit cheaper than buying 3 licenses but a hefty chunk of cash.
Maybe that might convince OH to look again?
