Halifax - Faster Payments

Can any of you banking with Halifax help?

How much can I transfer as a faster payment from Hailfax?

I wanted to do £1000, would it reach the beneficiary today?

It is also the first time I am using this beneficiary, does this matter?

Can't remember Halifax's FP limit, but it's certainly over £1k.

Note that the beneficiary's account also needs to be FP-enabled (you can check this by using the sort-code checker) and that FPs are not guaranteed. However Halifax does tell you before the payment is sent whether it will go by FP or not, and you can cancel the payment at that point. If you do get the message that it won't be via FP, try logging out of your account and logging back in again, or transferring the funds to another Halifax account in your own name, if you have one, and sending from that instead.

It doesn't matter that it's the first time sending to this beneficiary.

Have a look HERE, it should help. Bank of Scotland (so Halifax limit will be the same) "Retail customers - £2,500, Corporate customers - £10,000".
