If there are any mechanics - wonder if you could advise please. Son just got his first vehicle - a 1500 diesel 2002 Kangoo van. It has sensors for reversing but they dont appear to work, a few beeps and then a long one. Is this an expensive or easily fixed prob please?

He didnt even know it had rear sensors and never checked them when he bought it from a garage (Bank of mum and dad). And at £1500 I spose he would have got short shrift anyway for any bits and pieces that are not 100%. Another prob is the passenger door doesnt respond to the remote locking. He was told this would be fixed but when he got the van they said it couldnt be done, just lock it from inside :( The van does have a new MOT and has done 88k warrantied mileage with one previous owner. Im wondering if the door has been replaced after damage and thats why the lock doesnt work? The garage HPI the van and said it was ok.
