due to fly to florida soon, managed to get my mum travel insurance, eventually. anyway she has a pacemaker, she has a card from the hospital stating this, as she cannot go through scanner. we have asked at the hospital if she needs another card as this one states for EU Travel. they say not to worry but of course we are. do we need any other form of documentation?
thanks in advance

hi.i haven't flew to the usa,but i have a neurostimulator to control my dystonia, and i also can't go through the airport scanners.i wouldn't of thought you will not have any problems with you travels.at least both airports you'r traveling through speake english,so will have no problem reading the card.on a recent trip to turkey i had to get a local bar owner to make me a card up,saying something like this man could die if put in contact with strong magnets lol.but it did the trick and all went smoothly.don't forget to remind your mum in law to tell the security at airports, that if they use the wand type detector to do the bottom half only..have a nice trip ck0

My wife has a pacemaker, all she carries is her card from the hospital. She has NEVER been asked to show it. If she says she has a pacemaker, some places take her round the scanner and frisk her - some places just take her round, then let her continue - so much for security !0
