EPN Parking Charge Notice

Yesterday a colleague of mine received a private parking notice from EPN after parking outside the front of a public house to go into the bank adjacent to it.
She went into the pub to challenge the ticket and the landlord showed her a sign (on a lamppost to the side of the pub), which was the size of a beer mat, that stated the parking was for "Patrons Only". The front of the pub is set back from the road onto the main street of the village in which it is located but it is not a car park, although there is room for two or three cars.
My colleague tells me she visits this pub socially at least once a week and feels very miffed at receiving the notice after 10 minutes of being in the bank next door.
Can EPN contact and receive her details from DVLA as they state on their parking notice and should she pay this charge, or ignore it?
Help please!
Thank you.

EPN will get her details from the DVLA, she should INGORE it.
Dont even bother to write or call them, they will jog on soon.I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

Sounds like she needs to collect all the junkmail, order a pint and then give the landlord the paperwork to show how effective his scam is.0

Sounds like a good plan, tell the other patrons about how private parking tickets are safe to ignore and make sure the pub landlord is listening.
:TPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
