Anyone used Berkson Wallace solicitors for buying a house?

We are considering different solicitors for buying a house as not entirely happy with the ones we are using for selling.
Q1: Does it really badly complicate things to use different solicitors for selling your property and buying a property?
Q2: Has anyone used Berkson Wallace (Ellesmere Port, Cheshire)?
Q3: If you are cash buying and the property had a HIPs pack (2 years ago!), can you just say you don't want them to do any environmental searches?
