Yes, they have been creeping up each year, but I am sure that when I started buying them about 5 years ago they were half the price that they are now.

I think dillydilly is right - it's all supply and demand. They can make as much money by selling half as many at twice the price. A few years ago you had to get in quick and buy them in October before they went out of stock. People were buying in bulk and selling them on Ebay at inflated prices.

I'm still thinking about making my own somehow....mmmm Any ideas anyone?

I bought one last year in teh sale for £9.99 nad was just looking for it this weekend for DS1. It looks really good but now I am wondering what to get for DS2 who is nearly 4, a normal chocoalte one will look a bit mean compared to the lego one. Any ideas for something for younger ones??

The Lego prices have gone up massivley. I think Playmobil Advent Calendars are much better value and my kids love them.

Try Toy Advent Calendars for a good selection

Yes I have also noticed this, last year we paid £15 from Amazon, this year pretty much everywhere charging £25!! I'm not sure I'm convinced by that Super toys site though and at £6.95 delivery it pretty much cancels out any saving anyway, so may just talk the kids out of it this year!
