I don't know if I'm going crazy or what, but I could have sworn that this article headline said "Lloyds TSB" instead of "Barclays" earlier on today. Could someone please put my mind at rest?0

Yes it did, because Lloyds Banking Group got the highest number of complaints. But as it's fairly likely that the biggest bank with the highest number of customers would have the most complaints, they've re-done it now, by the percentage of customers who complained, which is clearly a better (though still far from perfect) measure.0 -

I was speaking to a complaints handler recently who estimated that at least one third of PPI complaints they are receiving are fraudulent/try-it-on complaints generated by claims companies. He reckons its more than that but the third relates to people complaining about PPI but who dont actually have it. They still have to be included in the complaints stats.
So, I doubt any measure is going to be perfect when you have things like that going on.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). its not the banks fault.. Its the wrong kind of customers!! banks run much better without the customers.0

It can't be that difficult to train to staff to take ownership, and empower them to sort things out surely?
IMO people don't want compensation, they only ask for this when they've been assured it is sorted multiple times, only to be stuck repeating the same pointless process and assurances.
The Daily Mail/This is Money.....:rotfl:Enough said !0
