We currently receive child tax credits, and child benefit for our 16 month old son, but recently a friend of ours who also has a baby has informed us he is now receving working tax credit, he does the same job as my husband and on the same shift, same wage etc, so technically same circumstances. Does anyone receive this, as I was 100% sure we weren't entitled - every little helps xx

If you google tax credits calculator it will tell you your entitlement.

Does his child go into childcare? You get the childcare element of WTC without actually getting WTC sometimes.

^^That is correct, I used to only get the child care element.

No he isn't in a nursery, hes a newborn at only 3 weeks old, so I don't understand, I think I'll have to check with him again. Thanks guys
