Spark energy move my bills to them, I never ask them for that
Hi everyone,
I just have one question
My previous energy supplier was E-on and the current supplier is Spark, I don't know how do they can move my bills from E-on to them without asking me or letting me know? I never give the meter reading to Spark.
Now Spark want me to pay the bills and I've got a letter from Chase Solutions.
Need your advices what to do
Thanks

If you never agreed over the phone,on the doorstep or in a shopping centre they may have taken over your supply in error. Ask them how you signed up to see if it jogs your memory. If you cannot agree you need to ask for the Erroneous Transfer process to take place. This means you would carry on being billed by your previous supplier as if you had never left ( ie continously) so make sure you put the money aside. This process usually takes about 6 weeks to be agreed between the suppliers but can take more time.
I have heard on this forum many complaints about Spark so would suggest it may be better to ask your previous supplier to raise the ERR Transfer on your behalf.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0 -
My brief advice is FLEE. They are the worst company I have ever encoutered, are difficult to contact and utterly clueless when you do.
Now for the detail... Usually I would advise that the supplier who took the supply in error to raise the ET but here I wouldn't recommend that unless you like 45 mins or so on hold. ET= erroneous transfer, essentially the supply goes back as if it never left.
If Spark object for some spurios reason then after eight weeks proceed to the Ombudsmen. I had a representative from Spark tell me if someone wants to leave they object then when the bill is paid they won't object anymore. This is the opposite of the correct process.
Shouldn't happen with an ET but they seem to just make stuff up as they go along.
I forgot to say you need to be in thier complaints system to be able to go to the Ombudsmen. I can't recomment the phone, if its possible to e-mail them or right to them so there is a record of it do that. Say you've requested an ET from your previous supplier and if this doens't go through you will be going directly to the OMbudsmen eight weeks from date of letter/e-mail.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0 -
As Joyful says, the 'Erroneous Transfer Customer Charter' is what you should mention.
This will put the supply back to your original supplier as you didn't authorise a change.
Whilst you can ask either the new or old supplier to do this, I would go to the old supplier because (a) that's obviously the supplier you prefer and so probably trust
(b) a supplier that will gain by getting you back as a customer will probably be more efficient than a supplier that is losing out."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
