major asda complaint.. will never use again

I WILL NEVER USE ASDA AGAIN. I HAD AN ORDER LAST WEDS WHICH I HAD TO CANX BECAUSE I HAD A SICK CHILD.. RESCHEDULED IT FOR THE NEXT DAY HAD DELIVERY.. ALL OK. THEN DISCOVERED THAT ASDA WAS HOLDING 2 PYMTS. I DIDN'T REALISE THIS WOULD HAPPEN OTHERWISE I WOULD NOT HAVE RESCHEDULED THE ORDER. HAVE BEEN GIVEN CONFLICTING INFO FROM VARIOUS ASDA EMPLOYEES IN SOUTH AFRICA CALL CENTRE. NOBODY COULD CARELESS ABOUT MY PROBLEM. WAS TOLD IT WAS MY BANKS FAULT AND TO GO THERE. WAS TOLD WILL BE RELEASED IN 3 DAYS, THEN 5 DAYS AND NOW UPTO 10 DAYS. HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY BANK HAS LIED TO ME. HAVE BEEN SPOKEN TO WITH COMPLETE LACK OF INTEREST HAVE ALSO BEEN PATRONISED BY SOME STAFF MEMBERS. I WAS LEFT WITHOUT FUNDS, FUNDS WHICH WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN USED TO PAY FOR MY SON'S BIRTHDAY PARTY. I HAD TO BORROW MONEY FROM A RELATIVE AND NOBODY AT ASDA COULD CARE LESS.I HAVE SPOKEN NOW DIRECT TO DEBIT SERVICES AND CANX TRANSACTION AND HOPEFULLY I SHOULD GET MY CASH RELEASED ASAP THIS IS WITHOUT THE HELP OF ANY ASDA EMPLOYEE. HAVE BEEN PROMISED CALL BACKS FROM STAFF AT ASDA HOUSE. I WILL NEVER EVER USE ASDA AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER BOTH INSTORE AND ONLINE. I FEEL THAT IT SHOULD BE COMPULSARY FOR CUSTOMERS TO BE MADE AWARE THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN SHOULD THEY CANX AN ORDER NOT LEAVE THIS VERY IMPORTANT INFO IN THE SMALL PRINT. I HAVE SPOKEN TO MANY OF THE MUM'S AT MY SON'S SCHOOL AND NONE OF THEM WERE AWARE OF THIS. I WILL BE LEAVING MY COMMENTS ON AS MANY PUBLIC FORUMS AS POSSIBLE SO THAT OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE NOT LEFT IN THE SAME SITUATION AS ME AND I SHALL ALSO BE CONTACTING WATCHDOG. I AM DISGUSTED THAT ABSOLUTELY NOBODY AT ASDA COULD GIVE A DAMN. THE BANK STATE THAT THEY CANNOT CANX A TRANSACTION AS THEY HAD NO PROOF THAT I HAD NOT RECEIVED THE FIRST ORDER. THIS PRACTICE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. NOBODY WITHIN THE ASDA CORP KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON AND I FIND IT DISGUSTING THAT I CAN BE TREATED LIKE THIS. THEN TO TOP IT OFF, BY WAY OF A LIMP WRISTED APOLOGY I WAS OFFERED £10 OFF MY NEXT ONLINE ORDER... GET REAL.
SHOW ME THE WAY TO TESCOS!!!

Get real.

Perhaps a few paragraphs as well, it's just a wall of words.

Sorry OP, looks like Asda really annoyed you, not sure how, but hope you get whatever it is resolved.

  • If you go to the top of this page and type 'Asda' into the search bar and then use the drop down menu for 'Forum' you will see several threads on Asda. Most of them are saying similar to you. Asda's home delivery service is very hit and miss.

    I think it's a troll.

There was a similar post a few months back saying the exact same thing (well not the same story but a similar version).

Asda apparently reserve 2 payments or something when you do an online shop and pay by debit card (so it seems).

Can't say I have this problem, as I use my credit card for online payments and have never had problems with Asda.

*edit* After some digging I've found this:
When you ordered the goods online adsa put through a 'pending' transaction to see if there is enough money in the account before they start picking your order.

Once picked and ready for delivery they then process the correct transaction.

If its exactly the same amount as the pending one then bank system recognises it and you only have the one amount showing, however if it differs then you will be debited correctly but the pending transaction stays on their system and reduces the available funds to you until it clears (usually about 5 days)

I've had this happen to me a number of times online and also in hotels where you leave your credit card details when you arrive but dont pay till the end of your stay.
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!
