DSF Sofa problems.

My partner and I brought an Ashley leather corner group sofa from DFS in December 2009 and had it delivered in March.
Happy with the sales in the shop but afterwards it's been terrible.
When it came to having it delivered I was told that I had three days to have it delivered or they would send it back.
When I said that both my partner and I worked full time and we can't arrange a day off in such short notice they told me I had had 12 weeks to arrage it and it shouldn't be a problem even though when my OH called the day before they got it in they couldn't tell him when it was going to arrive.
The very same day we got it one of the cushions developed a deep crease and it started to dip in the middle of the same section.
I called them and they told me the crease was normal because it was leather and that's what it did.
When I told them my OH had sat on it for 30 minutes before he had to go back to work they told me again leather creased and they woundn't fix the problem.
When I said about it dipping they agreed to send someone out to have a look.
He fixed the dip by putting more foam in, the crease remained but the foam problem was fixed.
How ever a month later the same problem came back and then the sofa started to creak as well.
Again DFS sent someone out who told us that the sofa was poorly made and we should ask for a new one to be made, something he denies telling us now.
Now we have more problems, the crease has got worse, the wipes we were sold don't clean the leather just seem to move the dirt, it still creaks, the foam in one arm and on the corner section feels like it has broken down and is uncomfortable to lean back on and the the other section has started dipping towards the back and you feel like you are sinking when you sit on it.
We had the store manager out who told us that there was nothing wrong and it was wear and tear on the sofa, when we told him it wasn't even 7 months old he said it was still wear and tear.
When we said his answer wasn't good enough and we were going to their head office he called and said he would give us £800 credit in store and take our sofa away.
The sofa cost us £1500 on intrest free.
We asked if we got another sofa for £800 would they cancel our credit agreement, he told us that we could still need to pay it all as we had the sofa, even though he was going to take it back and sell it to someone else as a second.
Unhappy with what we were offered I e mailed their head office two weeks ago, today I got an e mail telling me they don't deal with complaints via e mail and could I write a letter to them, they didn't give me the address and it's proved hard to find.
We have to start paying for it in December whats the betting this will carry on until that time.

Hi, as you have started negotiations with them you have to stay strong and tell them you will not accept anything but them to take away the sofa and have it replaced with another sofa of the same price and quality (however i use this word lightly) i wouldnt be surprised if the sofa where it creaks is broken.
As they have suggested they uplift it and offered you a credit id even try for its unfit for purpose and you want a full cash refund, tell the manager you are going to trading standards and also Fiba which is the independant furniture ombudsman.
Now rather than me ramble on if you have the time read all my posts on dfs it may help i told them from day of delivery to take it away it took 4 weeks in all and not backing down for a min i got my cash back.
Hope this helps and good luck just keep saying no its not fit for purpose i want a full refund or exchange whichever you want not what they want.0
