Yup, it's why he gets away with murder!

To keep this on-topic, I made my "Woo a baby" card, but spilt water on my stamped image for the "new job" card - just after I finished colouring it. Bah and indeed humbug.

I will blog the baby card tomorrow when the glue is dry :D

    CT19720 - I've got the combined trimmer - was 29.99 from craftsuperstore.com.

I definitely prefer cutting straight lines with a guillotine. I like the Purple Cows one as it is a dull blade which is good to have around the house with kids.

Edit: when I say dull blade I don't mean a sharp one that has gone blunt - it has a "metal on metal" action to do the cutting. Dont know how it works but it does - gives a clean cut with less chance of me loosing a finger :)

Welcome to the thread Willow. We are a really friendly bunch, so if you have any questions, then just ask.

I need to buy a new guillotine, and spotted a Purple Cow one in our local art shop last week. My OH has suggested I get one with a blade rather than the one I have now with a cutting wheel, he muttered something about you get a more precise cut with a blade guillotine.

Wondered if anyone has a purple cow guillotine, and what they thought of it? It is £19.99 which I didn't think was too bad, but did baulk a bit at the one that had a paper trimmer attached to it, that was £49.99

This is probably no help, as I have an X Cut guillotine (the biggest one) however I would second your OHs opinion on a chomping blade thingy (that you lift up and down, even though I sliced into my knuckle a few months ago!) being better than a trimmer or a wheel one, it stays sharp and mine is very precise.
I'll have to post the picture of my cat when he figured out how to open my knicker drawer and sleep in it. The git...

lol, mine have a fetish for any drawer that is open, no matter what kind, they just have to have a look in it to see if there is anything that can be stolen/hidden/played with/lost under the sofa etc ;)

and craftygranny, I wouldnt put it past my OH to bribe the cats to chase the spendy elves away :rotfl:

CG- won't be out of pocket, it must be a new thing.. even though I set a postage first and offer free collection in person after then Ebay now offers free collection as default

It's caught me out a couple of times over the weekend which is how I realised what had happened... I'm always buying stash on Ebay (lots cheaper usually!) and this has never happened before but it's happening all time now

I only realised when I printed out the invoices as it says please contact seller directly to arrange collection on the invoice.. I won't be out of pocket and have sent messages to them all but I can't spend 'their' money until this is sorted in case they just cancel the whole transaction or something- it isn'#t my fault though lol

As I said it happened to me over weekend so I sent extra through Paypal... easy enough but some people think nothing is their fault lol

Hope this makes sense still bit foggy... bit less foggy now though thank goodness but still misty ..I sound like weather forecast. lo. If I can make it through the week shuffling to and from school slowly without falling over I'll call it a great result :rotfl::j

Hugs to those who need them...Extra Ninja hugs to CG Just Because :)

flying freesian and gemm lol at your cats, I have found the hamster in the gas oven once ( lucky it was off) he had got out of his cage and ended up in there, he is old now and doesn't try to escape as much

Hello everyone else, I have a day at work planned today well half a day and then I'm back tonight for a team meeting and I'm hoping the nesties arrive so I can have a play but they will probably take a couple of days, and I must finish off the teachers candle boxes for christmas, Andy has ordered the wood for the flooring in the loft as well so its coming along, next is the insulation which is going to cost a bomb, still the finished result will be so worth it

PepPop - I am having that trouble too. Yesterday OH suggested trying it in explorer instead of firefox and amazingly the picture was there! Dont know if that will be the case with all of them though.

Craftygranny - My thoughts are with Adam for Thursday. Hope its good news, then he can go out and celebrate in style. My dads a yorkshire man, and I can imagine him charging for tea when he retires! Well done on winning Gemmas blog of guessing the amount spent.

Gemma - I agree, Tim is definately quite nice to look at!

PONR - Hope the journey home is uneventful.

    Welcome Willow

Flying-Fresian - Lovely stash - as Melissa said especially love the cupcake stamps. What a great win! Lol, your cat is very cute, bet you werent saying that when he was in your draw!

Myz - Glad your feeling a bit better, hope you keep improving

Right off to get some stuff done, I'd much rather be crafting though! Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs to all. xx
