Making cards - Ideas (part 5)

Someone mentioned in an earlier thread that Dawn Bibby has left QVC, I don't know if any of you has create and craft on their facebooks, but the current status is:

Create & Craft TV
In response to comments on various social sites. Tony Sheridan, Managing Director, Create and Craft commented. I can confirm we are in discussion with Dawn Bibby to bring her undoubted talents to Create and Craft and Ideal World. Dawn would be an excellent addition to our team.
At this stage there is nothing more to add until discussions have concluded, a further announcement will then be made.

Just had an email from LOTV, all the remaining stock of the cute squares will be sold via their ebay shop here from Monday ;-)

Rusty how scary about your fire! I don't like candles much now since we burnt our dining table. We only had a tea light on a proper dish for candles onwhile having dinner and it got that hot that it burnt into the table and made a complete mess of it.

I was looking at getting some LOTT stamps off ebay (not their shop) this morning but some are dearer than going direct to them :huh:

Keep getting asked what i would like for my bday but i haven't a clue. Crafty things are a good bet but don't know if there is anything i truely need :eek: what am i saying?

Well upholsterer has been and gone and will need to return again! First of all it was the usual the comapny had sent him with the wrong part but maybe a good thing as on further investigation theres more problems than we first thought! I don't think he was too impressed with me when I told him the leather wasn't an exact match but hey ho! He did agree so we will just need to wait and see. Anyways its done am painkillered up, my friend is coming for a visit and we are gonna talk about what we are doing for a craft fair we have a stall at ina months time!

I have done a few cards and plan do a whole lot more over the next couple of weeks and we are doing our jewelery and some baby gifts also The coming month is gonna be a busy one :eek: lol

If you think the situation out side my daughters school is scary you should take a walk around where I live. Police tape stopping people going onto Pit Hill next to my house. There has been 3 murders, the 3rd body was found on Pit Hill and it was on fire. I am scared stiff I am in the house on my own tonight as my dad is working nights.

emm well I've just made my first order off LOTV site. ooops £30 later......I have a couple sheets of sentiments and this he was just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too cute to resist!! lol now I wanna buy some bargains just don't know where to go lol

anyone know of any clear stamps or anything that are just too big a baragin to resist?

I got my order, just small ones, from crafty ribbons and the ribbon girl this morning, that was superfast delivery! again! well impressed certainly cheered my day up

I'm happily building up my card stash again

Where in Bradford do you live ZLS - I know it's bradford as i've been keeping updated on the T&A website. I live in Keighley and work in Bingley. It seems too close for comfort for me so im sure it's even worse for you!

Been shopping this morning and found a ribbon and lace stall on the market..... oops!! £6.50 gone!

Rusty the decorative corners on my cards are peel offs that I have had years and never used, now I wish I could get some more! Will let you know how I get on with the metal ones, at least peel offs stick!!

Rusty - what a shock for you - glad you are OK I tend to put candles on my hob in the kitchen for safety or the hearth but seems like nowhere is safe really.

Rainmac - thanks for the heads up - I'd be lost without them - I was hoping they would bring out cute squares of the new issue - I'd best learn to colour PDQ!

ZLS - I heard about that on the radio but never thought of you being nearby. You aren't on the list at the moment - I'll pm you.

I've been a bit busy with thank you cards - only 2 more to do then I should have a bit of time to be sociable on here and catch up in blob land.

I went shopping after work to try and buy a dress came away with zilch, I did however discover a Rymans store so have bought a stack of papers, OMG I am in love with the papers they are lush

Rusty, what a shock for you, I have been trying to persuade my OH to get rid of my fireplace and install a log burner ...... now where are my candles although you are all making me worried now as I do light tea light candles all the time for the aroma I shall have to be a bit more careful now!

ZLS do you want anymore stamped images?

Mad Frog - Sounds like all my shopping trips - I'd love one of the new maxi dresses but most are as long on the hanger as I am tall. Crafty stuff is much easier to buy.
