Morning ladies, I am scared stiff ... burned a candle (had only been on for 10 minutes) and set fire to the fireplace, never seen a candle flame 6 inches in height before!! have damaged the fireplace and now I need to figure out what to do!! I have loads of these candles in my wardrobe for friends and family for christmas!!! ... not that I will be giving them out now!

Jowri, beautiful card, love the castle behind, think I am going to have to have a serious think, and maybe stick to normal cards. Thanks for the offer though!

Off to calm down a bit!

OMG Rusty! Bet you got a scare alright! If its somewhere local you should maybe return the candles or email them saying whats happened! I burn candles all the time and I only ever once got a 'dodgy' one but thankfully I was right next to it when it decided to collapse and melt everywhere with the wick still burning! Sit yourself down and have a wee cuppa tea xxxxx

I'm waiting on the upholster coming to fix our sofa. I'm oping hes been and gone before my OH goes to work coz I'm not in the mood to make polite conversation I just wanna take painkillers.....but can't because OH is going to work and the pain relief knocks me out oooft happy days! :o

Hey ladies, thanks was so scary, I was the other end of the room putting my stash away and could just smell burning, I just sort of knew what it was ... very bizarre feeling and nearly rugby tackled my friend out of the way then screamed at her to get a towel LOL whoops!! I am ok though, just got quite a scare and I dont scare easily. I used to work in London for a bloke, and from the age of 16 I did a big firework display in Ealing (around 6k worth of fireworks going up!) and I used to light a fair few of them and run through them to light more!! so fire isn't one of my scary things if that makes sense!

Rainmac - I wouldn't tell you if it was the one you sent me ... it was one of *those* brand though. Emailed the company and she has been great, got to send them all back and she will refund. I will of course ask her to refund to you! :o Lovely picture of your DS bless him.

ZLS - good luck with your campaign

Twinkle - Hope you can get through the afternoon

OH is on his way home for a long weekend, I managed to get tickets for pirates of the carribean 4 for tonight so we are having a child free evening (well until we pick them up!) can't wait!! not been out just us for ages! The game is released tomorrow (lego one) and that arrived in the post today aswell :j

Folourgirl - Sounds like you got some nice bits ... I have a RUB full of flowers  curious about the corners but waiting until I need some more flowers until I order some. I presumed you had some already as I saw you use pretty corners on some cards? are they just peel offs?

    Hi Ladies,

I haven't been around much, but have been trying to keep up :o

I brought some Prismacolour pencils and they are so lush to colour with but can anyone tell me the best place to buy Gamsol or the same sort of thing it is an oderless Mineral spirit? Also the stubby things that are used with it too.

I can only seem to find it in the USA and i don't want to wait that long lol

ZLS Posted your images :) Sounds like a nightmare outside your daughters school.

Rainmac your son looks a bit nervous, I thought that was a sheet of stamped images in his hand lol.

Rusty Look just cos you want to move house you don't have to burn yours down lol Hope you are ok x

Been shopping this morning and found a ribbon and lace stall on the market..... oops!! £6.50 gone!

Rusty the decorative corners on my cards are peel offs that I have had years and never used, now I wish I could get some more! Will let you know how I get on with the metal ones, at least peel offs stick!!

I want some prismacolours! ... but best not tell OH as I already have all the promarkers and copics!! .... looking around, Gamsol is an american name, in the UK it is called Sansodor, and looks to be available from most craft style shops. Did a google and this is the shopping link

:rotfl: never thought of that, I will have to tell that to OH when he starts ribbing me later on, my excuse is that he did say he wanted rid of the fireplace and to redecorate :rotfl:

Let me know how you get on with the corners ;) xx
