Making cards - Ideas (part 5)

Morning everyone
Congratulations Flourgirl :T:T
I made a card for my FIL last night - do you ever sit down to make a card that you need for the next day, your mojo goes for a wee holiday and everything you do just becomes a nightmare! It has to be one of the most boring cards I've ever made. AARGH hate it when that happens.
Hope everyone has a great day and the rain doesn't reach you.0 -
Well done Flourgirl - If you need some more of the wedding ones I have some I can send? Only used one, think I sent some to a couple of people but not sure now!
Rainmac - Maybe if you looked at the legs you might have figured out who was who? glad you all had a good time!
Morning all,
I am behind again! Being driven crazy as I just can't make female cards, have tried 4 this morning and they have either gone wrong, or look stupid so I have to start again!! I have finished a notepad for DS to take to his Dads and that looks great!! Any ideas why I can only make mens cards?? Any suggestions on how to try? LOL Anyone got any ideas how long it takes for nerve damage? I still can't feel my leg unless any pressure is on it then I just get really sharp pins and needles? Also have an abcess which is killing! think I just want this week over and done with!
Hope everyone is ok?Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -

That happens every time I make a card - thought it was normal. :rotfl:RustyFlange wrote: »Well done Flourgirl - If you need some more of the wedding ones I have some I can send? Only used one, think I sent some to a couple of people but not sure now!

My dad had Guilliane Barre syndrome (severe paralysis after a sickness bug) and I'm pretty certain they told us quarter of an inch per month as a recovery rate for nerves. Probably not what you want to hear and may not apply as yours may be different type of damage.0 -

That sounds horriblenot sure if it will ever go or not, never had any call backs for anything since surgery? All I can find is that everyone is different, but the surgeon said dependant on the damage, but it may not go at all? I guess I should just be grateful that I am not in the pain I was?

It wasn't good intensive care at one point 'cos they thought it was going to his lungs but he recovered really well, all things considered, he had to learn to walk again and had loads & loads of physio. I'm really surprised they haven't called you back for a check up as it was a major operation - could it have gone astray? I'd phone and ask if I were you.0

Yeah I'm with Marg on that one - surely you should have to go back for a check up. How is your pain now? Has it gone completely? (oops there's me being nosy again - i'll shut up
)

Wow Marg you could never imagine a bug could do so much damage!
I am guessing he is back to full strength now?
As for the hospital, I had a discharge letter in the post, end of care any more problems see your GP, I think because I was transferred to a different hospital which comes under a different hospital care (originally it was northumberland care, then when I had it done I was under newcastle somethig or other?) I did get 2 discharge letters? I will enquire I think. I can cope with the numbness and pins and needles.
Peppop, the pain is gone, all a distant and nasty memory, so glad it is over with I just wish it hadn't happened in the first place, for me I could cope with all of the pain but the burning, that was what drove me crackers, I literally was going insane with the pain at the end, the screaming and crying could be heard up the street :rotfl: I can cope with most pain, bar tooth pain and that burning .... I am fixed though, and grateful for itStill get aches and pulling, but I presume that is normal
.... not that I class myself as normal! :rotfl: and I know I need to be careful still .... I also know I need to shift this weight. One thing I never publically mentioned is that my original consultant offered me a gastric band  and I was even considering it .... anything to stop the pain! and for the record, I am big, I know that, but I am by no means massive!
