Aw sorry PONR I had heard talk about Tesco papers didn't realise it was digi's, my Tesco doesn't stock anything like that but then neither does my TK Max.

Wanna Save I am definitely going to try Rymans.

Yes the Tesco paper is like a thick good quality printer paper - it is 120gsm and very smooth. You probably could stamp on it if you were going to stick the whole image to the card but not if you were using foam pads as not thick enough.

Hi WSM, I used Rymans white coated card with Promarkers and stamp with Tuxedo ink. It's not very thick but thick enough :)

Do they ever do BOGOF on this lol?? Looks fab but too much for me to pay but if it's ever on BOGOF let us know :rotfl:

  • Afternoon - Tesco have changed their fines paper it's now only 100gsm but haven't tried any of the new lot so don't know what it's like. I stamp on it but not if I want to emboss it.

Crafty Emma sells the card she uses in her store as well but not tried that either as I'm currently using Extra smooth from the Papermill shop :D

My sig on my Teddy Bo cards is huge but that's how Gayle wants it so the designs can't be pirated - am in the middle of making a smaller more unobtrusive one of my own for my other stuff :rotfl:

Congrats to the winners and the slightly more skinny! Welcome New Soon to be spending persons - can't remember for the life of me what I've read other than no baby arrivals.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Thanks for the tutorials Rusty and Choccy - i've scheduled a post, so i'll see if it appears.

PepPop - I looked in my image folder and don't unfortunately have anything re men and computers I could send you, sorry.

Giggle - I meant to say earlier it appears that no one took photos of our candy buffet/table at our wedding . I thought they had but can't find any, sorry. Basically we had a tressle table with boxes on top at the back and layed a table cloth over it so there was a step. At the front I had sweets in bowls and on top of the 'step' there were other bowls of different sweets arranged. There wer 14 different kinds of sweets so had plenty of choice because I bought the boxes/jars from Makro, and we had things like haribos, jelly beans, jelly babies, roses, pear drops, cola cubs; fizzy cola bottles etc. I put some stripey pink and white paper bags on the table with some serving spoons in each sweet container and people helped themselves and made up their own sweet bags. I did it mainly for the kids at the wedding, but the adults enjoyed it to. HTH

Afternoon ladies:) DD is still off of school with some fluey bug, but mum came and sat with her for me so that I could go out for a while. On a whim I decided to check out the new TKMaxx that has opened about 40 minutes drive from us and I've come home with loads of stash. Although in my defense some of it is going to be pressies. I got American Crafts 12 x 12 scrapbook kits for £5 and the 8 x 8 kits for £3, a 12 x 12 We R Memory Keepers Pad Vintage Blue scrapbook pad and matching 4 x 6 pad for £7 the lot, WRMK ready to scrap pack for £2 and a Gemstones Black Magic pad for £1.

Rusty - sorry your dd is poorly again

    PONR
    - your inbox is full :)

Flourgirl - just noticed your signature, well done to you

Rainmac - congrats on both counts

Wanna-save-more - I use some ultra-smooth card from the Papermill and also some card from poundland (which isn't pure white, but colours fine with Promarkers. Like PONR says a lot of folks use Rymans. If you really want to push the boat out the best stuff is alledgedly Neenah Classic, I'm afraid I'd wanna try b4 I buy!

Addams - our school does a whole day, they give some fancy name like academic tutoring??? Hope you get on OK

Right I'd best go hide/tidy this stash away :)

hope your DD is better soon xx

Well OH got out of hospital last night about 8 o'clock, ordered himself a takeaway and then plonked himself infront of the xbox!! He's in quite a bit of pain but isn't being too demanding - bless!!! I hired a new game for him to play on the PS3 today so that should keep him busy.

I've got another card to blog later - can you believe it - nearly 2 in a week!!!!

SarahPowell - lovely card - fab image!!!!!

The-wife - I'm so sorry to hear about your operation getting cancelled - what a nightmare driving all that way only to have to turn round to drive back home again - idiots!!!!

Paddingtondoo - sorry to hear that you've been feeling rubbish - I hope things get better soon, I always think that January is a bit of a rubbish month - I think its after the excitement of xmas that Jan always feels a bit flat.

Flourgirl - congrats on your order for the invites!!!

Rusty - sorry to hear that DD is unwell again - hope she gets better soon. I was just about to dig out all my afternoon papers to check which range they were from and then saw that you'd found them!!

Wanna-save-more - welcome to the thread!!! I used to use some cheap card from whsmith for stamping which was okay but not great. I recently treated myself to this, although its a bit more expensive than Rainmac's:

Toms Mom - I'm glad that you've recovered!!!!

Wanna-b-rich - sounds like you got some fab things!

Glad your hubby isnt being too much of a pain!

wannasave - I use ice white card from the paperterie, they have been contacted by letraset to have talks about a non bleeding card ;) I have about 15 pads of ice white. However this stuff doesn't bleed, some of us got some for free at the NEC its £1.60 a pack

Tomsmum - well done on the weightloss :j

Melissa 2 cards in a week!! well done you! is now the time to mention I have made 2 so far today and started on a third? :rotfl: mind you mine aren't as good as yours!

Had to take DD to docs as she kept dropping to floor and falling asleep at drop of hat, she has gastroenteritus and quite bad according to doc, looks like she is getting worse so hope OH can come home tonight so he can help through the night as I am wrecked!

Rusty, hope DD feels a lot better soon, poor little poppet has gone through the wars. Thanks for your tip on PALS.

Oh the anticipation, auntie rainmac in waiting! That poor young man with meningitis, how worried his parents must be.

Good to see you back, TomsMom!

Thank you for your support, PepPop :D

    wanna save more
Neenah card is pretty good for digi images but Melissa's tip for Craftworks card is spot on, I've used loads of it and perfect every time, do allow it to dry for half an hour or so.I'm calm with blood pressure back to normal.
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!
