    Congrats to The Wife :D

I am now the proud owner of my sewing books from Amazon :D Sadly DD doesn't want to nap grrrrr so I don't foresee an hour spent looking through them at my leisure :(

And I got a 2 QVC parcels - full of La blanche stamps - all swirly and girly and botanical line drawings, although some of them would be ideal for the gardeners among folks. but I have to finish sewing before I can play.

I think I'm set for the whole year. Except I only have about 2 ribbons. Do I need ribbons?

  • Scatty - just got the pages on the jewellery. Thanks alot for that - I love the Bollywood styles and may have a go at that, with me having lots of links with India!!!!!

  • No craft things in the post for me. I have made a list of things I am waiting for and crossing them off as they arrive. Some things take so long though!!!

I ordered a metallic gold promarker and some gold Cosmic Glimmer Spray last night from Joanna Sheen - I blame wanna-b as she told me how lovely the birdcage die cuts look using the gold promarker with embossing powder!!!!!! LOL!!

I don't need ribbon - I shall wait till the kiddies go home from the school I live next door to then go scour the playground for lost and abandoned ribbons. It's called foraging and frugal folks do it.

    I can be frugal, I can, honest:p

    Hello ladies!

Thought it was about time I tried to get back into the fray here. I'm going to try and post a bit more regularly, but who knows!

Welcome waves to all the lovely new ladies, and hugs to anyone who is in need a the moment. One of those in need is me as I have current;y got tonsilitis - haven't had it since I was in my teens and I'd forgotten how much it hurts!

I have actually made a couple of cards lately and have blogged one of them - going to try and get back into challenges and blogging a bit more too.

I got a letterpress kit half price on eBay and have a had a little play and I think I like it - will be good for multiple cards but I have a dreadful feeling all the bits and pieces for it are being discontinued - probably why they are in the sale now! Typical.

    Hi Marg
She was back at the vets yesterday and they reckon 3 abseses - they drained one at the beginiing of the week another yesterday and the last one is behind her eye where they gave an injection - she has had antibiotic injections and is very slowly on the mend and has to go back again next week. She is going outside to do her business but runs quickly back in again. She looks awful as they had to shave parts of her head etc. xx
I thought you might like it PONR I thought it very different and it looked stunning

Morning gals - see we are all on good form this morning :)

Craftygranny - LOL, 12 packs :D I see Flourgirl has sorted you out with a link for the ribbon girl!

Rusty - LOL you've obviously been checking out my blog and noticed the lack of ribbons on my cards!!! :) It's my new resolution to start using ribbon more, but I think it may well end up just being stroked. Can I enter my necklace into the Ladybug Challenge or do I need to use one of her stamps? If so, then I might just have to make a Christmas card as I have an uninked Christmas stamp from her ;) Re SDD - I take it that the good wishes of the season weren't even bestowed by means of a card or email? Things were put in perspective for me a few weeks back ;)

Lol I rarely use ribbons, so if you are anything like me then you don't either!!
You can enter your necklace, it is an anything goes challenge where people can use anything ;) get it entered its nice to have something different!
As for SDD, I emailed explaining my health was bad so I would leave as I couldn't guarantee that I could get the many different demands (ok so I just said cards) done on time. there was no reply even though I emailed both beth and Janette, then I noticed 10 mins later that they put up a post on the forum saying I was leaving, and then within 2 hours I was locked out of the forum, but never had a reply email, nor did they mention I had left on the blog post this week which is wrong!! I am fuming as I never even got a thankyou!! I find that the most disgusting!

And do you know what ... I get the impression they will hear about my post on here LOL ... not that I care, they are lucky I haven't put up a blog post saying how wrong I think it is!

PONR - Not this week, normally we ask that you use a LCI stamp but this week you don't have to ... taken from the challenge blog
so our challenge this week is...

    ANYTHING GOES
so you can enter any craft project you like - using any image ... yes ... you heard that right ....
to win the prize this week you can use ANY IMAGE.
Told you we were being kind and gentle lol

Wifey - your machine arrived then ;) I am still waiting for my new bug! :(

Scatty - Will reply to your PM later on, sorry but OH is on his way home, DD is being very demanding and I need to clean the house before picking up DS in an hour!

LOL - moi??? lead people astray?? never!!!:rotfl::rotfl:Anyway, you need the gold marker pen and glimmer spray :D

Scatty - how many??????? Craftygranny and I are positively saintly now :)

Peppop - just noticed your sig and will join you in weight loss crusade (I have put on almost a stone in a year and need to get that and some off before August). Going to rejoin Slimming World (get the books and then go solo) using the voucher out of Bella mag (makes joining £4.50ish);)

Rusty - thanks, will enter it now :D I had to leave cos I care for my gran and grandad and they have both been ill and tbh more and more things were suddenly appearing for us to do with no discussion and I just felt really stressed and ill cos of it (and of course the famous blanket email/s) and so thought it best I leave. Shame really cos it was a nice place to be - so not sure what's gone wrong :( Anyway, I'm sure you'll be kept busy with Ladybug! Her stamps are gawgeous even if you do keep chopping bits off of them!!:rotfl:

Hope everyone else is OK? I'm feeling rather sick as a crafty friend took me out for lunch and insisted that I had a slice of homemade coffee cake for dessert and tbh I didn't really want it or need it, but ate it anyway.......
