Yes just make a valentine card, put it on your blog :T,and just post about doing so.good luck, forgot to tell any newbies, the winner picked at random, sets the next challenge,to run for a fortnight. You will have the choice of what card weall make next time if you win.

    Thank you
Is it expected that the winner gets a prize, or is the honour of winning prize enough. Not asking coz I want a prize, but if I should be lucky enough to win, whether I would be expected to provide one.

And - for those who have been doing this for a while, I've seen a couple of people have a banner/button or whatever they are called on the side of the page saying they are a member of MSE Making Cards - how do you put that on?

Hi Georgiegirl - a lady called Soulie who hasn't been on this thread since last summer, created the button for people to use. Here are the instructions to upload it to your blog, any problems let us know, and I am sure that one of use can help you.

    Hope this helps.

Glad people are getting their new crafting goodies through, i'm waiting for my LOTV squares - PepPop, I got the Sporty Boys; dressing up girls and one of the bear ones. The cards people make with them are really gorgeous and very quick to do, so can't wait to have a play with them when the arrive.

    Fab influx of valentine cards.

Just got in from work, so will finish some more cards 1/2 done later. I'm sure that my flurry of cards won't last too much longer. Convinced my mojo will desert me soon.

Me jealous!!! :rotfl: I've got the baby ones and the red Christmas ones (although TBH I didn't have the heart to use them - they were so cute :o) I can see me buying a set of each - I got mine from their stall at the SECC.

I have skim read through the thread, sounds like you all had a good Christmas and New Year. We nearly didn't make it out as Gatwick shut on the Monday night but luckily our flight was only delayed an hour or so on the Tuesday morning.

KMS thanks so much for my Christmas card

Melissa welcome back and congratulations on your pink bundle

Rainmac glad you liked your present

Hello to all the newbies will try and catch up on blogs tomorrow.

All washing done and house cleaned, just need to clean my craft room and make some new cards and browse the sales tomorrow
  • Can someone tell me do the Bigz XL dies go through the cuttlebug? and is it those I would need the extended plates for?
Just trying to plan ahead for DD's birthday!

Rusty - I just tested the Hello Kitty Bigz Dies I got from Sizzix and they go through the Bug ok - as they are very thick i did not use an A plate, I just used a B plate on either side of the die and ran it through twice. It worked perfectly. I think that it is only the large Bigz dies that you would need an extended plate for like the boxes, houses etc.

  • I've just tested all of my new Sizzix dies and love them. The embossing folders are really lovely and but quite sharp as they cracked the card I used slightly so need to use thicker card next time. Going to colour in a few now ready to use on cards!

kms - hope you feel better soon. Alot of people are ill with flu, I only got it alittle. I think I was lucky as I had the flu jab so maybe that stopped me getting it so badly.

This is nothing to do with card making but i hope you don't mind me asking this on here. Do you think its ok for a dinner lady to tell a child off in school but what she is telling him off for as nothing to do with the school. My grandson was took aside by a dinner lady today and she told him off big style for throwing stones at her window and mooning at her last night now i know my grandson didn't do it cause as soon as he got in from school he didn't go back out so it couldn't of been him. She told him if he does it again he will be in big trouble and she will call the police now i feel if he had done it yes please let me or his mum know so we can deal with it. Or am i being silly about it and is it best to leave it or should i go in the school and try and sort it out.

Oh i forgot to say my grandson is 8 years old

Thankyou :D I am tempted by the bag die, but its £11 then nearly £7 postage, so I am thinking I might just buy them off ebay, someone is selling some in any colour card I want and they are 12 for £1.50 I think? so would cost about £3 for how many I would need!! just not sure how big they are!!

Well you know me, I personally would go give her what for. Infact I would tell her what I thought, then I would have a go about her telling the child off in school hours rather than speaking to the parent involved (your GS must have been petrified) and then I would lodge a complaint with the headmaster and demand a meeting within school hours with headmaster, dinner lady and yourself (or mum and you!) personally I think that is absolutely wrong!! poor little lad, hope he is ok!
