    CT Instructions are:

Use the template to cut 12 double sided pockets from patterned paper. Cut each with one tab only, creating six pockets with the tab on the left- hand side and six with the tab on the right. Score along the fold lines and assemble.

Die cut each month of the year with coordinating coloured cardstock and glue to the front of the pockets.

Print the calendar templates onto cream paper and cut out. Attach to the back of the previous month's pockets, so that the calendar is placed on the back of the previous month's pocket and will correspond with the pocket area of the same month. Set aside.

From chipboard, cut one rectangle at 23x33cm, two rectangles at 23x16.5 and two rectangles at 23x4cm

Cut blue wrapping paper to 80x29cm and draw a straight line 3cm in from one long side. Use this as a guide line to adhere the chipboard rectangles with a gap the thickness of the chipboard between them. Fold the excess paper over the edges.

Cover both sides of the binder with patterned paper, leaving a narrow border around all sides. (this will have to be done in pieces) Make sure all joins on both are on the largest rectangle of the binder, as this will be the back cover.

Use the tabs to attach the pocket pages to the two side spines of the binder, six months on each side. Attach the calendar sheets for January to July to the inner covers of the binder.

Cut strips of patterned paper to fit around the whole width of the binder, overlapping one edge 5cm. Attach two Hook and Loop fasteners to hold the book closed. Cut a butterfly from the patterned paper and stick in place to finish.

I hope that all makes sense, i just copied it from the magazine, i will try to get the photos on tomorrow. I'm off to make mine now lol

Oh you are a star, thanks very much KMS. I'll have a play at the weekend. If you get a chance to do photos that would be fab.

Good luck making one, can't wait to see it xx

  • Kick up the bum on the way Ali - do you have some halloween paper left over for the Harry potter one? Something bright like DCWV boys stack for Phineas & Ferb one?

I think I would probably get sacked if I tried to play a practical prank! She told me to "Go and sit down and take calls!" (in best school teacher voice like the one you use when the kids act up) on Tuesday - probably coz she had accused me of causing the biggest complaint in the whole world ever and I'd proved it wasn't my fault. Have learnt in the past always to cover my more than ample @ss :rotfl: :rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Have been so busy lately I have missed all of this new thread:o

Having bought everything to make Christmas cards months ago I have still to get started.

Can you please tell me where I can get the "name things" sorry don't know the correct terminology:o to put on the front of the cards. I need two that say daughter. I don't really want to buy a stamp so can I buy ready made ones?

    Thanks

Do you mean sentiments? Lots of people get theirs from Craftwork Cards. Have you thought about making your own on the PC in word though, it is very easy to do.

I often do this, so that I can chose exactly what text I want and what colour, and just cut them out on my cuttlebug to fit the cards I make.
