I bought this after asking the same question on here, the advice as usual was spot on (they're very clever crafters)
    I found it works brilliantly

Don't need a code now thankyou, I found a 5% code on quidco and will get 7% cashback which is better than a kick in the teeth :D all ordered now, I just need to wait for it to arrive!

Hope you had a fab christmas??

    Has anyone heard from Melissa?

Whoo hoo, that's a fab saving, well done you :D We did have a good Xmas thanks, all over too quick as usual. How about you guys? I got a birthday pressie (a handmade album, it's stunning) and card from Mel but haven't heard from her, tried to email her but she hasn't replied. Just hope everything's ok x

babyfreckles, I usually use Neenah card for printing digis and stamping onto (get it from Crafter's Companion) and it works well but am going to give the Text and Graphics card a go when I run out as it's loads cheaper ;)

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! :)

Popping on to ask what cardstock you all use for digi stamps as I have found my mojo, bought a couple of digi stamps, printed and coloured and guess what?! Yep, it smeared!

I am using staples own cardstock (Think its 180gsm with colour lock) and a HP Inkjet... Have tried it on draft setting and photo setting and both times they have smudged! :(

I am afraid I use some which my OH picked up from the Paperterie in Aberdeen earlier this year (have over 2000 sheets still!) but I know some of the girls swear by Rymans!, when you say it is smudging, do you mean the ink is smudging into the colours of your promarkers or your promarkers are bleeding through the lines?

Yes thankyou, same here all over too quick and left wondering where it will all go! was really magical this year though, hoping I get another year of DS believing, but not sure if I will. Did you get yours believing again after his hiccup with someone from the school telling him santa isnt real?

I am sure Mel is fine, probably busy with the children especially with 4 of them, it is hectic enough in the run upto christmas with 2!

Meant to say, yesterday we were up in Aberdeen emptying the flat share which OH was living in, and we popped into Hobbycraft at Union Square and the promarkers in packs of 5 were £4.49, possibly nationwide?? Not sure as I am a copic girl!

  • Had a stressful day of shopping with DD - ended up in Asda and only got half the stuff I wanted as she was driving me barmy after 4 hours lol!

She did get a really cute scarf like this and a couple of xbox games (one of them was reduced by £15 this week glad I didn't get it for her for xmas) plus yet more skinny jeans and clothes so suppose it was worth it - she got a hoodie sweatshirt thing in Primani for £3 - bargain!!! Unfortunately she still has some left over may drag her round the new Poundland and Home Bargains superstores that have just opened here at the weekend :)

I use staples text and graphic too - I also have some posh card that I got from Crafty Emmas Store but find it hard to blend on for some reason.
Haven't made anything for ages as have been stitching but did invest 99p in some metallic pencils today :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

  • Thanks for your replies ladies. When I used the photo settings to print, the promarkers bled outside the black lines, and when I used the draft settings, it didnt bleed outside the lines, just colour started to run whenever I coloured near to a black line if that makes sense!
So much for 'Money Saving' ;)

You need to use a coated card to stop the running ;)

Rusty, both my boys continue to believe, yay :j But can't imagine DS1 will next year :( We all went to watch a rugby match on Xmas Eve afternoon (we won ) and picked up a takeaway on the way home. I sneeked back into the house just before we left and put out a few pressies for the boys to have when we got home: a Build a Bear bear, new pjs, toothbrush, toothpaste... It was magical seeing their little faces :D

We are off to see my nan over the weekend so may not be back on here. She is still in hospital and waiting to be relocated to a nursing home as her needs now surpass the remit of the care home. We are taking the boys to my m&d and then heading off.

So hope you all have a happy new year and I hope 2012 is full of fantastic things and lots of crafting :D My new year's resolution is to get back into cross stitching x
