Am not panicking about xmas but am roughly a month behind - am normally done and half wrapped with cards sat waiting to stick in the box.
I have precisely 3 people's presents and 2 of those I only got today - if I don't get done I don't get done - can you tell I'm looking forward to it :rotfl:
just so long as I have something to eat xmas day i don't give a monkeysOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Rainmac sorry to hear about your nan that happened to my grandad although he hadn't recognised me for years
I am so not ready for Christmas have loads to do and we are away again this year so that only leaves me two weeks to sort it all :eek:0 -
Rainymac - what's the update with your nan - maybe it's best if she doesn't really understand what's going on - not feeling the pain must be a bonus {{{hugs}}}Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

I was looking at the flex markers but noticed they are very similar description wise to pro markers i.e. blush etc, does anyone know if the colours are very different please?0

Good Morning!
Mad Frog - sorry I'm a Copic user (oh that looks dodgy in print!) but I think the the flexmarkers are generally for a softer nib more than the difference in the colours but the ones I've seen are very pale colours.
Just a little plug this morning for the Military Wives Choir and the record they are releasing to raise money for the British Legion and SSAFA and hoping they can have a lovely Christmas No1 with it. It is going to be released on 19/12 but you can order in advance from today. If you didn't see the Gareth Malone programme, the words of this song were largely taken from letters between the forces in Afghanistan and their wives.0 -

rainmac, so sorry to read about your poor nan, life ain't fair at times. sending huge hugs to you and to DS1, hope he feels better soon.
Well, it official!! OH has the flak jacket and tin helmet at the ready! Doc confirmed I have a chest infection and gave me a week of steroids to check it before it gets full blown. I've been feeling carp for a few days now. Still, at least the ironing will get done
Am I ready for Christmas? NOPE!What get's done, gets done and I bought loads of BHS Chrissy cards last year for those that may miss out.
M & S had some beautiful cards half price on Monday. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Thanks ladies, my nan's dementure is so bad now that she is laying in hospital with a broken hip and taking no pain relief as she can't feel the pain
They are hoping to operate soon, need to phone my mum and dad tonight to find out more.
My DS1 is poorly with an ear infection. He was fine when I took him to school but was very not fine when I picked him up this afternoon. He burst into tears poor thing. Managed to get a GP appointment and got him antibiotics. He's going to have a day with his dad tomorrow and will hopefully be better in a couple of days.
I am the same as flourgirl and waaaayyyy behind with my Xmas prep. The boys opened their advent calendars this morning and it made me break out into a cold sweat thinking about how close the big event is  I need a few more weeks! Haven't made anything except a few cards. I had such grand plans of making gifts but I have made nothing so far
Rainmac - sending huge hugs to you, your nan and DS1 xx
I haven't even made a card yet, I am so behind this year  Normally I've got all the presents bought by now and I've hardly started - not helped by losing my nectar card last w/e, I was going to use the points for some presents, but now I'm waiting for a new card0 -

She had her op last night at 8pm, I ask you, is that really fair to make an 88 year old go nil by mouth all day and then operate at 8pm...? She is ok today, very confused about what's going on and keeps pulling the wires out of her arms. Doctors say she is doing well so my mum and dad are on their way home for a rest over the weekend.
My DS1 is a bit brighter today so think the medicine is helping keep the ear bugs at bay. Hope a couple more early nights and more medicine will sort him out.
Wifey, you look after yourself xxx
I have some Flexmarkers winging their way to me, can't wait for them to arrive. I am keen to try out some of the paler colours.
I have a date with my Christmas notebook and laptop tomorrow night to sort anyone I haven't bought for yet, need to get it done. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
