Making cards - Ideas (part 5)

ZLS the Lily of the Valley Ebay Outlet Store here has some Christmas images that are brilliant for little Christmas cards, point us in the direction of the type of image you're looking for and also try Googling vintage Christmas. Is it the really old fashioned cheery Santa with red cheeks etc that you're after?? Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0

Evening ladies! Twice in one week - I don't know what's come over me! (actually I do - I've got loads to do so am avoiding in on the pc!)
ZLS, I have to say the Lili of the Valley die cuts are so cute and so simple to use. I used to feel bad if I wasn't actually stamping but they are so lovely I don't think it matters!
I'm supposed to be getting organised for my Stampin Up new year launch party on Saturday - unfortunately I didn't bargain for a scorchio weekend so my attendance may be somewhat lower than I'd hoped! Anyway I know I'll have fun - the new stuff is gorgeous and I can't wait to get my hands on some more of it. I've been having a play with some of the fabric they've introduced this year - I dont sew but stiffened with glue you can die cut it and do origami! (of course I could have just used the matching paper in the 1st place but that would have been much less fun!)
I still need to branch out every now and then into funky fairies and colouring (Stampin Up just don't seem to go for colouring type stamps) but am enjoying everything matching! I ended up giving away all my ribbons as I never had the right colours regardless of how many I bought!
I am having a bit of a warm and fuzzy moment, but I have to say, I don't think I would have developed as a crafter, or signed up as a demo if I had not visited here a couple of years ago and been welcomed and inspired by an amazing bunch of women.

I've still got a long way to go as a crafter but you are exactly right in what you say, I feel the same.0 -
Awwwww you fuzzy lot
I wouldn't still be making cards and stuff if it wasn't for you lot my gnat brain would have moved onto something else
And it would probably have been something cheaper :rotfl::rotfl:
Waiting for some new spellbinders to arrive after watching create and craft and suffering from various injuries when I fainted at the prices (got mine from Ebay am not that daft)
Have been busy busy this week cleared out half the garage to save us some money and hassle from having storage, got my car MOTd and for once it only needed a new bulb not the usual £350 quid then saved on insurance for my new car by using Tesco of all people was £30 cheaper for better cover than anywhere else - just need to learn to drive an automatic nowPlus i went through my cross stitch mags and sorted them out and have a pile to go
Have also done 2 trips to the tip and 1 to the charity shop - had no idea mice ate plastic they had eaten a hole through a car seat
Just haircuts today and need to make something
ZLS have you tried Peggy Loves Vintage for your Christmas images?Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Hi every one sorry tought I had said I am making a scrapbook style book of the story of The Night Before Christmas for my little girl and need ideas and vintage things for it. It may sound stupid but I do not want it to look new I want it to look aged.0

ZLS sorry for being a bit dense, vintage can be so different for people.
So, here's a link for a blog who always has some amazing truly vintage images, you will have to trawl through as I can't remember if she has a menu of the images she's posted. If you don't pop back, I'll have a look when I get home tonight. Gotta go, boss man on the prowl.:D
Right, just made him coffee so he'll leave me alone for a while.
ZLS, scoll down at least halfway, looking for 'image collections - Christmas' and let us know if this is the sort of thing you are looking for and then we will all be singing off the same carol sheet!
Also, I've just googled 'twas the night before Christmas' selected images and loads of vintage images came up that you could look at.

Paddington I have an automatic and I love it, all you have to remember is to leave your left leg alone. It's just go and stop easy peasy and hill starts are a doddle no rolling at all, it is a pain go back to manual after a while as I always forget about the clutch!
Glittermum Hope your launch party goes well, I too am glad i found this thread and inspiration
