Hi everyone, been a busy week for me this week. Thomas started school this morning, he looked so gorgeous in his uniform and I surprisingly didn't shed a tear ;) That may have something to do with the fact of me having a job interview yesterday and getting the job :j I am going to work as a Learning Support Assistant at a primary school. The start date, exact hours etc are all to be agreed but it's very exciting. The school is full of children with problems with numeracy and literacy so it will be challenging but that's what I was looking for. I am joining the ranks of the employed again :D

Whoo Hoo! :j:j Well Done Rainmac! It's the sort of job I'd have loved when I was younger and could probably do on a one to one basis but I've not got the patience for children 'en masse' now.

ali.b yes, we made it but not 'til about 2 pm not as many stalls but the noise & pushing was as usual - I got a few bits.
  • Hi Everyone, weather is a lot better and I have a load of washing out and another load on.

Waiting on a SU order arriving

    Congratulations Rainmac

  • Well done Rainmac - what a fab chance to get back to the "real world" - now you'll need to get organised :):)
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • Awww congrats Rainmac! :T That's what I did before having my girls, working with the children with special needs within a mainstream school. I loved it and hope to go back to work when they are a lttle older. It is very rewarding when you see a child develop and learn new things knowing you have helped them on their way! Enjoy it xx
  • Congratulations Rainmac - you will be amazing xx
  • Congrats rainmac :T

Hello, I'm gonna make some Christmas cards for this year and I'm not sure where to start! I'm getting some card in the next few days but I'm not sure what else to buy. I'm making 5 cards so I don't want loads of stuff left over so packs of 100s of sheets of paper etc. are out of the question. Also, where is the cheapest place to buy these things? Thanks to anyone who can help :)

:j:j Wel done, rainmac, that type of job is just up your street. :j:j

Willow if you are only making 5 cards why not look on ebay for card kits, look on Create and Craft TV or go online and just put in a search for card kits. If you get this month's Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine it has a Christmas paper pack and chipboard embellishments that are really nice. A couple of yards of red or green ribbon and a few card blanks and you're all ready to create. The magazine has instructions about how to make cards and lots of sellers in there that will stock small packs of cards and matching envelopes. Ebay has sellers with smaller card packs in different colours too.
