Well didn't win anything at the village show, what a farce!!!! When I read the instructions it said Jams & Lemon Curd should be in a plain 1lb jar now when I have entered WI events its always been Lemon Curd in an 8oz jar so consequently I didn't enter mine today cos it was in the wrong jar. When we got there and looked at all the preserves I dont think there was one in the correct jar, they were a right mish mash :mad::mad: plus only 1 entry for Lemon Curd (coffee jar). My card and fancy box were with the paintings and photographs :mad: and Willows mosaic tile was with the knitting!!!! However on a brighter note my DIL won first prize for her Apple Pie :j:j

Rainmac fantastic news about your sons poem :T, he is a very talented young man, something for you all to be proud of .

Bye the way, my Lemon Curd tasted gorgeous on my toast this morning .......yum!!!

One sleepy mummy here been a long day, celebrated Sinead birthday today as she is at school on Tuesday. Was fab we went to build a bear and spent a small fortune lol but it was worth it. She got a badge and all the workers stop and got on the counters to sing happy birthday to her. I was so embarrassed lol. They also put 2 small birthday cards in her box and loads of ribbons not sure if they normally give out the ribbons or not but they give her a bagfull. Was really glad that I had a money off coupon as well or it would have been a lot more money for her.

Hope every one is ok, Hugs Artidoll and hugs to every one that needs them.

Just received some sad news, my mum's friend's husband is critical, her daughter and grandson were killed, in a house fire in Kent why is life so cruel x
