  • anyone want the 3rd bad news of item for this week, i'm soooo glad it's the weekend. DH's family don't have a lot of money, his mum and 'step dad' never actually got married but had a daughter together, which makes the daughter his NOK. Because he didn't die in Keighley but Lancashire, Keighley Social Services won't contribute towards the funeral, but neither will Lancashire. Because they weren't married my MIL won't get her bereavement payment which she would normally have got because FIL wasn't at retirement age, so basically they can't bury him as they can't afford to! They have received the coronors report though and it was to do with hypertension becuase he wasnt taking his tablets.

I'm going to lose myself in crafty projects to take my mind off it I think! If i can find some candles i'll be doing some experimenting too!

  • hopefully you've now had your 3 viclspence that's the last thing you need.

Anyone who mentions xmas again and has made a challenge card will be disqualified :o I'm still running about daft getting the last back to school things - spent an hour and a half trying to find a plain black coat that tall child will deign to put on this afternoon.

Am spending so much time running around after everyone else and trying to sort the house out that I'm shattered. OH has already come in and gone out again having been away all week out tomorrow and off up north on Monday. Plus have had a carp day at work and v hormonal is it supposed to get worse the older you get??? I could just about rip someone's head off :rotfl::rotfl:

I assume i haven't missed anyone for the challenge - will do the draw later when I've calmed down a bit and tall child has finished colouring in stickers to put on the end of promarkers - slave labour is not dead in this house but she's too tall to get up the chimney :rotfl::rotfl:

Ok I have to mention the C word sorry lol but I have not started my Christmas cards yet and have no idea where to start. I have not made a Christmas card before, I always buy them and really want to make a Meerkat themed one for my daughter. Can some one point me in the right direction with out shooting me lol. Also got some cards that have 4 doors on them thinking I could do a Meerkat burrow type thing but have no idea.

Vic I truly hope that is your bad luck for the year x I think poundland has 2 pillar candles for a pound failing that Ikea is my favourite

Georgiegirl congratulations on getting your job

There were a couple more I was going to comment on but have forgotten so hugs to all that need them, please stop going on about christmas my tomatoes are still ripening :p

I have fallen out with my imac as well as my ereader  I have downloaded a couple of teddybo images but they come out virtually A4 size but can i resize them  Rusty will love you forever if you can help :o

I really need the nitwit papers but daren't download until I can fathom my puter

To make myself feel better I have had a little crafty spend, it IS justified as I haven't bought anything for over 3 months

Evening ladies , ah just had a takeaway and a glass of wine after a busy day back at work - grr I am sick of it and I've only been back 2 days I want to stay at home and craft (although I should say housework cos my house is a tip (AGAIN!!). Anyhoo, vic I agree you have had your 3 lots of bad news so fingers crossed your luck changes ((hugs!!))

Thanks for the advice on printing digidownloads - I'll have a go on the thickish stuff I stamp images on. Pep pop thank you for the offer of finding a freebie but the camo paper I have found is a freebie;) (shocking I know - not like me to use a freebie!!)

Just got my subs cross stitcher mag and there is a lovely cxxxxxxmas :p freebie kit itching to have a go at maybe tomorrow now as the wine has kicked in so off to have a soak in the bath - if I dont get back on enjoy the rest of your night ladies xxx
