    can you not set up a direct debit every month for the payments?

    Or better yet a standing order.

    if its a direct debit, and the wrong amount is paid, you can claim it back under the dd indemnity scheme, you can't with a standing order.
  • Call and ask whether they will refund.

    And if it's a standing order you can control how much they get at any time.

    Eh ? Do the loan companies not enforce you to pay by a monthly direct debit on the same day every month ?

    :huh::huh::huh::huh::huh:

    they mite do, but i didnt pay by this option, i dont have SO or DD facility on the account, it was paid by internet bank, and when i dropped down the box to pick your account to pay too, i just picked the wrong one, so i was my mistake, not the banks,

    i made one payment on Monday, which i guess they will get today,

    and one on Tuesday, which they might get tomorrow,

    is that ok, one in Sept, one in October?

    Call the lender and ask?

    Otherwise you might end up showing as in arrears.

    i have wrote to them, just asking them to refund it,

    thought it might be better to have it in writing,

    though i fear it will be a "no".

    OP ... Have you been bankrupt previously ? I've never heard of a bank/building society account that doesn't have the facility to setup DD or SD.

    no i havent been, it suits me to pay all my bills by internet banking, so thats not the issue, this is just the first mistake i have ever made, its not the end of the world, its just very inconvienent, and not a mistake i will be making again,
