£2/day is way too high - if your meter is set up on a single rate with a standing charge (off the top of my head) it should be under 25p/day.
Checked the website and it doesn't give the standing charge, but doing the maths, and based on a London postcode it came out at 16p/day.
Check with your postcode - if you have a standing charge Screen I should match Tier 2, other wise I is Tier 1 and K is Tier 2.

The read on screen H can be reset depending on what happens to the meter - where possible use G.

I found the rates somewhere on the BG site. I'm always amused at how you have to dig for them. Anyway I'm going to take meter reads daily, screen G then, thanks for that, until they change the meter on Friday and then take a few more to compare usage. Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong on Friday. Hope this experience is ending now.. :-)

I don't know if its me not reading things right, but from what i think at no point throughout this thread has "Npower" been mentioned.

I can't help but feel that you don't apppreciate the comments from me, especially knowing that i am an employee of Npower (This is the impression i'm getting)

It may be that I have misread part of the thread too / assumed it was Npower because I know from other threads that you are an Npower employee.

What I don't appreciate is utility company employees (any company) providing information which is wrong or incomplete (I believe Npower staff to consistently do so)! ;)

    Ste, don't worry about undaunted.
They like to sound off, but as you've seen, they don't want facts/reality to get in the way of a good rant.

I thought you were a little brighter than this type of rubbish Swanjon, perhaps not after all? ;)

Ps They may be the "wrong facts" but not wrong in fact / reality! We do of course know that you work for British Gas & so maybe you want to detract from their failings here? ;)

    (Sorry, slight edit)

Yup, read my posts. Really detracting from the failings, pointing them out.

Except it's not the end of. Guy calls this morning says he's the gasman coming to change the gas meter. I said we were having the electric meter changed. Said "oh goodbye" and puts the phone down. Called BG who say the exchange of the electric meter has never been booked. And have booked it for next Friday now. The account is still not in my name either. For the first time ever I went all girly and was crying on the line. Why can't they do this right?

Just to complete this tale.. and then I'll go away.. BG did as promised on the phone to me and brought forward the appointment from Friday and the meter was changed this morning (Wednesday). I also received a £10 shopping voucher in the post from them. They think that's enough.. haha.. I'm off to write my letter claiming compensation for missed appointments and so on now.
