I'm thrilled with my potatoes!
First time i've tried growing then and now there's no going back.
Definately growing Blue Danubes again they are incredibly tasty as mash. I was really pleased with my pink apple firs too but just preferred the blue danubes. I don't think i'm a salad potato fan.
Did anyone else grow Blue danubes or a nice floury potato? I'm already thinking of next year lol

I tried Suttons Foremost this year. Not a particularly good spud, I felt, except when mashed, where it seems to be one of the best I've grown. Very productive and trouble free, as well but I shan't be growing it again.
Charlotte was very good, but the skins were curiously bobbly. I'm wondering if that had something to do with growing that variety in bags, as opposed to soil.
Currently, I have some August planted Nicola on the way. They're looking a bit sad but that's the risk you take with late cropping potatoes, I fear.0 -
fingers crossed for your Nicolas to pick up.
I've just been mooching at the jbaseedpotatoes site..... thats next years picked.... now I just need an allotment..... after 4 years i'm tenth on the list.
Do you think if I planted potatoes the shore they would be stolen? (thats how keen I am to plant them) haha
Can only fit some in my garden, not nearly as many as I want!0
