No real use as for example with Halifax each branch (probabaly other banks too) has its own individual sort code - imagine that list

As long as you only want to look up a couple of banks/branches a day this page is useful.

Never been on there in my life

Its a demonstration page for one of their paid for products. As such they have probably noticed a lot of clicks from this website and thus temporily barred it. Its a bit like the free BT directory enquiries or the Roya Mail postcode checker - they don't like 'businesses' using it for free.

Try copying (i.e right click and copy shortcut) and pasting this directly into your browser instead:
