Blackpool with family in November?

Options
Hi. We are going to Blackpool 19th/20th November and taking our little ones age 2 & 6. Whats worth doing at this time of year and are there any special shows of note (I think children in need is taking place around then)? Thanks

Unfortunately you are coming to Blackpool out of season between the end of the illuminations and Christmas so there won't be much on for children. You can visit the zoo and Stanley Park. Check out the website for Blackpool Live for whats on.

  • I think the lights are on until 7th November.
  • The Sandcastle Waterpark is open weekends in November.

I'm not entirely certain whether the Tower/Circus will be open at that time of year
  • thanks for the replies but it's not looking too lively at the minute:(

Have you had a look at visitblackpool.com? You can build your trip there and there's loads of information. For children (and adults) Blackpool Zoo and Farmer Parrs in Fleetwood are both good, I recommend them both. That's a bit of a weird weekend though as it's just after illuminations and just before Christmas stuff starts.
  • The tower is unlikley to be open over winter as the new operators Merling are giving it a large refurbishment
